Custom software development company in Romania. Built to last

Amazing Soft is a custom software development company in Bucharest, Romania, building web applications, portals and system integrations since 2016. We work for companies in Romania, Europe, the Middle East and North America, in English, and we stay with the software after launch.

Web application development. And the systems around it

Most of what we build runs in a browser: internal systems with roles and reports, admin panels, customer and supplier portals. Around them sit the integrations with ERP, CRM, accounting, couriers and payments, through APIs or through connectors we write where no API exists. When a system is old and nobody wants to touch it, we document it, stabilise it and move it to current technology in steps, while the business keeps running.

The full list of what we build, and how, is on the custom software page.

Why a company in Romania. EU rules, EU time zone

  • Time zone. Bucharest is on Eastern European Time: two hours ahead of London, seven ahead of New York and Toronto, one to two hours behind Dubai.
  • Data. Romania is in the European Union. Our data processing agreement, sub-processors and security measures are public on the legal pages, and our infrastructure runs on servers in the European Union.
  • Language. We work in English and Romanian, in writing and in calls.
  • Invoicing. Companies outside Romania are invoiced in EUR, USD, GBP or CAD (other currencies on request, where our banks can receive them), as stated in the quote.
  • Markets. We work with companies in Romania, Europe, the Middle East and North America. For Rikbits, a children’s building-blocks brand in the UAE, we built the shop and make the campaign graphics.

For North America, the overlap hours with your working day are set out in a table. For the UK and the EU, see software development for UK and EU companies. See also how working with a company in Romania works.

How to choose a partner. Five things to check

Whoever you hire, in Romania or elsewhere, these five checks separate a partner from a supplier.

  1. Software of theirs that still runs. Ask for work launched years ago that is still in production and still maintained by them.
  2. Who you talk to. You should know who is accountable for the project from the first call to the last release. At Amazing Soft, it is the Managing Partners.
  3. What is handed over. Ask for the list in writing. Ours: the domain, the hosting, the accounts, the files and the documentation.
  4. How the work is shown. You should see and test versions along the way, not only at the end.
  5. Where your data goes. Ask for the data processing agreement and the list of sub-processors before you sign, not after.

How we work. In versions you test

We start from your process and write a short specification, with the architecture and an estimate by stage. We build in versions you see and test along the way. At delivery we install, migrate the data and hand over the documentation. After launch, monthly support covers monitoring, updates and new features.

Questions. Short answers

It depends on what the system has to do, so we do not publish a number. After the first conversation we write a short specification with an estimate by stage, and you approve stage by stage. The cost is agreed after the consultation.
We hand over the domain, the hosting, the accounts, the files and the documentation. After launch, monthly support covers monitoring, updates and new features, or your own team takes over with that documentation.
Yes. We start by reading the code, the infrastructure and the accounts, write down what we find, then stabilise it before adding anything new. The old system keeps running while modules are replaced one by one.
