Cookie Policy
This English version is provided for convenience. The Romanian version at /ro/informatii-legale/politica-cookie/ is the binding text.
1. What a cookie is
A cookie is a small text file that a website saves in your browser. On your next visit, the browser sends it back to the website. Cookies remember choices (for example, whether you have accepted statistics) or identify a browser for statistical purposes. Some are deleted when you close the browser (“session” cookies), others remain for a set period (“persistent” cookies). The same rules apply to similar technologies: the browser’s local storage (localStorage), pixels and scripts that read data from your device.
Under Article 4(5) and (6) of Law no. 506/2004 on the processing of personal data and privacy in the electronic communications sector and under the GDPR, we may save cookies without your agreement only if they are strictly necessary to provide the service you have requested. For anything else, we ask for your consent first.
2. The categories of cookies on amazingsoft.ro
- Necessary — without them the website does not work or we cannot remember your choice about cookies. They do not require consent.
- Statistics — they help us understand which pages are read and where visitors come from. They are activated only after you accept.
- Marketing — holds one thing only: the Google Ads conversion cookies, which tell us whether an enquiry sent through the form came from a paid ad. They are activated only after you accept. We do no remarketing and build no advertising profiles.
3. List of cookies
Necessary
| Name | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
cmplz_consented_services, cmplz_functional, cmplz_statistics, cmplz_marketing, cmplz_preferences, cmplz_policy_id, cmplz_banner-status | Complianz (saved by our website) | Remember your choice from the cookie banner and the version of the policy you accepted | 365 days |
wordpress_test_cookie | WordPress (our website) | Checks whether the browser accepts cookies; appears only on the login page, used by administrators | Session |
__cf_bm, _cfuvid | Cloudflare, Inc. | Distinguish real visitors from bots and protect the website from attacks. They appear because the website’s traffic passes through Cloudflare (proxy enabled) | __cf_bm: 30 minutes; _cfuvid: session |
LiteSpeed Cache (website acceleration) does not save cookies for visitors who are not logged in. Fonts are hosted on our server; we do not use Google Fonts.
Strictly necessary local storage (the brand questionnaire)
| Name | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
as-bq:<token> and as-bq:lang (local storage, not cookies) | Amazing Soft — the brand questionnaire at /brand-discovery/… | Keeps the draft of your answers in your browser: the answers, the step you have reached and your session token, so that you can continue where you left off if you close the page or lose your connection; as-bq:lang only remembers the language you chose | Stays in the browser until you delete it or clear the website’s data |
This storage is strictly necessary for the service you requested — completing the questionnaire with the option to resume — so we do not ask for your consent for it, in accordance with Article 4(5) of Law no. 506/2004.
On the brand questionnaire page there are no cookies and no third-party script is loaded: no Google Analytics, no Google Tag Manager, no Umami, nothing else. For that reason, the cookie banner does not appear there either.
The draft sits in your browser, so we cannot delete it: you delete it from your browser settings (“Cookies and site data”). The answers that reached our server are deleted on request, by writing to us at gdpr@amazingsoft.ro, and are in any case deleted automatically within the periods set out in the Privacy Policy.
Statistics (only with consent)
| Name | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
_ga | Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland Limited) | Distinguishes browsers from one another by means of a random identifier | 2 years |
_ga_<ID> | Google Analytics 4 | Keeps the state of the current session | 2 years |
Google Tag Manager loads the Google scripts (Analytics and, if you have also accepted marketing, the Google Ads conversion tag) only after consent and does not save cookies of its own.
Marketing (only with consent)
| Name | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
_gcl_au | Google Ads (Google Ireland Limited) | Links the visit to the ad you clicked, so that we can count enquiries that came from ads | 90 days |
_gcl_aw | Google Ads | Keeps the identifier of the ad click (gclid) until you submit the form | 90 days |
_gcl_gs | Google Ads | Keeps the state of the ad click, together with _gcl_aw | 90 days |
These cookies are saved by our website, not by Google, and appear only if you have accepted the “Marketing” category. When you accept marketing, the Google tag also sends the conversion signal to Google’s advertising servers (including doubleclick.net), without saving any other cookie; we do not use it for audiences or remarketing. We use their signal for a single purpose: to know how many contact enquiries came from a Google Ads ad. We do no remarketing, we do not show you personalised ads on other websites, and we do not send your name, e-mail or message to Google. The durations are those stated in Google’s documentation.
Links to external services
The “Book the free consultation” button is a link to calendly.com, which opens in a new tab; our website does not load anything from Calendly. The cookies on calendly.com are set by Calendly LLC, under its own cookie policy.
The WhatsApp button is a plain link (wa.me) and does not save cookies.
4. How to change your choice
- Press “Manage cookies” in the footer of any page. The banner opens, where you can accept, refuse or adjust by category. Your choice applies immediately; statistics cookies that have already been saved are deleted by your browser when they expire or when you delete them manually.
- You can delete or block cookies from your browser settings (Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Edge each have a “Cookies and site data” section). Blocking necessary cookies may cause the banner to reappear.
- Refusing statistics or marketing cookies does not limit your use of the website in any way.
- If your browser sends the Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signal, we honour it: the banner does not appear, everything is treated as refused and no statistics or marketing cookie is saved.
Your choice is kept in the Complianz cookies in your browser, together with the version of the policy you accepted. We do not send this information to third parties.
5. Consent Mode v2, explained simply
Google Consent Mode v2 is a mechanism through which the website tells Google’s scripts what you have chosen. Consent Mode has two variants: in the “advanced” variant, Google’s scripts load before consent and send cookieless signals (including your IP address) to Google even if you refuse; in the “basic” variant, the scripts are blocked until you accept. On amazingsoft.ro we use the basic variant: until you accept statistics cookies, the Google scripts are not loaded, no cookies are saved and no events or cookieless signals are sent to Google. The Google Tag Manager container also loads only after consent.
The signals we send to the Google scripts, by category, are the following:
analytics_storagebecomes “granted” only if you accept statistics cookies; Google Analytics then starts saving the_gacookies listed above.ad_storageandad_user_databecome “granted” only if you accept marketing cookies; Google Ads may then save the_gcl_*cookies listed above and count an enquiry sent through the form as coming from an ad.ad_personalizationstays “denied” at all times, whatever you choose: we do no remarketing and do not personalise ads based on your visit.
If you refuse marketing but accept statistics, Google Ads receives nothing: no cookies and no ad-click identifier (advertising data is redacted from the requests). You can change your choice at any time, by category, from “Manage cookies”.
6. Applicable law and contact
Law no. 506/2004 (Article 4), Regulation (EU) 2016/679 and Law no. 190/2018. Details about how we process data and about your rights are in the Privacy Policy. Questions: gdpr@amazingsoft.ro.
We update this page every time we add or remove a service that saves cookies; the version and date are in the header.
What changed in version 1.2 (9 October 2026): the “Marketing” category is no longer empty: it holds the Google Ads conversion cookies (_gcl_au, _gcl_aw, _gcl_gs), saved only with consent, with no remarketing and no personalisation; Section 5 describes the Consent Mode signals by category; Section 4 states that we honour the Global Privacy Control / Do Not Track signal.
What changed in version 1.1 (21 September 2026): we added to Section 3 the as-bq:<token> and as-bq:lang local storage, strictly necessary for the brand questionnaire, and the clarification that the questionnaire page has no cookies and no third-party script.
