Context
RCE Consulting designs and integrates automated systems for factories: robotic cells that pick parts up and place them (pick and place), assembly systems, camera-based (vision) inspection and quality control, transport of parts within the factory (intralogistics), custom workstations and special-purpose machines. We built RCE’s website.
RCE starts from one idea that runs through the whole site: a production line stays stable and predictable when stability is designed in from the start, not sorted out along the way. The website had to say this in engineers’ language and show concretely what the firm builds.
What the site had to say
- The firm’s idea, on the first screen.
- Solutions kept apart from projects: what the firm can build, and what it has already built.
- A careers page, for engineers who want to work at RCE.
- Contact details in plain view, with separate addresses for general enquiries and for projects.
What we built
The homepage opens with the firm’s idea about production stability, then explains how RCE works: how it designs the links between machines, synchronises flows and keeps variation under control, so that deviations are corrected before they affect production.
Solutions has seven pages, one for each type of system: robotic pick and place, assembly and special processes, vision systems and quality control, intralogistics and flow engineering, robotic processes, custom workstations and special-purpose machines, and industrial systems integration.
Projects sit in a section of their own, grouped into assembly systems, vision inspection systems and transport systems. Among them: a robotic cell for ultrasonic welding and an end-of-line vision inspection system with label application and traceability.
Careers and contact. Careers has a page of its own. The email addresses and phone numbers sit in the site’s top bar, and the form is called “Talk to an engineer”.
